Light

One section of Light Island is made up of several slits to mimic the light waves we don't usually see. We can place a mirror in front of these slits to see how light is reflected. The mirror has a concave side and a convex side.
1. What do you think will happen to the bands of light
when they are reflected off of the concave side of the mirror?
2. What will happen to the light bands when they bounce off of the convex
side of the mirror?
Guess and then play the movies below to find out if you are right! (You can also find the answers at the bottom of the page.)
