Homework Three
Planning the Midterm Project: Proposal and visual representation
Proposal
Review the description and requirements of the
Midterm Project and write a short proposal (one to two paragraphs) describing
your idea for a the project. Include information about the
- genre of the project (portfolio, biographical site, interactive story, interactive
art, game . . .),
- audience (potential employers, kids, teenagers, adults, all ages), and
- scope of the project (is it a project in itself or the first version of
your final project).
Visual representation of the project
Create a flow or organization chart, or a storyboard, or some other visual
representation of the elements of your project and the flow of the navigation
though those elements. It should *show* the answers to the following questions:
- What are the main sections?
- What happens in the main sections?
- What are the secondary sections/actions?
- What happens in those secondary sections/actions?
- Which sections link to which sections?
- How does the user get from one section to another--directly, through
a menu on that page, or back to the menu?
- How does the user get back to the menu?
- How does the user get to the exit?
Remember, the clearer the idea, the easier it will be to design and build.
Create for yourself: you can be as clever, creative, practical, serious or whimsical
as you want to be as long as you include the requirements.
